Hello Everyone,
We had a great Steering committee meeting on Tuesday July 21st. We developed the criteria for the Vision statement and clarified several Terms of Reference. Lynne has agreed to type up the information and Shelley has contacts who are experienced in writing Visions statements and has agreed to have them put something together for us. We are working on a late October meeting of all stakeholders for sport and will be meeting as a committee again in September. More to come.

Thanks again for all of your hard work on this Perry. I wanted to share with the group that on Wednesday (the day after our last meeting), I met with the Pitt Meadows Senior Management Team to fill them in on the work the Steering Committee was doing. The presentation was very well received and they are looking forward to hearing more.

My colleagues have returned from vacation this week and I have submitted this to two different people for suggestions. When I have those suggestions, I will post the updates as well.

The Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Sport Council is the collective voice for sport and outdoor recreation groups seeking to work in partnership to communicate and promote the benefit of involvement in our clubs to the citizens of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.
..working in partnership communicating and promoting the benefit ...: or ...working in partnership to communicate and promote... Does the active voice (leaving out 'seeking') seem a bit more 'immediate'. (The details of doing this would be in the strategic plan.) I look forward to seeing the other suggestions; but great job, Shelley, in getting this done!
