WOW what a great day. The first summit was a huge success. There are so many fantastic people to thank; Our Mayor Ernie Daykin, Mike Murray, Pauline Vandermoor, Parks and leisure staff the new council members and Tom Walker what an amazing guy for coming out and giving so much direction and guidance. Drew Mitchell got everyone excited and educated on The Canadian Sport for Life model........ there is so much work to be done . Donna Bernard gave us some great insight to the Sport and outdoor recreation tourism strategy. The start to the day was so much fun with everyone breaking a real board to symbolize the breakthrough of obstacles and barriers as we move forward. I think our communities are set up for success and there is so much support to make BIG things happen. As the new chair of our council I can only say that I am highly motivated and looking forward to being a small part of this program. Please stay in touch and visit the blog regularly for up dates.
